Marble Run Engineering (Ages 12+)

Calling all Middle Schoolers & High Schoolers! Ready to take on a design challenge? In this hands-on STEM workshop, participants ages 12+ will step into the role of engineers as they design, build, and test their own custom marble runs. Using ramps, tubes, and everyday materials, students will explore physics concepts like gravity, force, friction, and acceleration—while experimenting with how structure and design influence motion.

Through creative problem-solving and iterative testing, they’ll analyze how variables impact speed, distance, and control. Each participant will walk away with a fully customized marble run to keep. It’s a fun and engaging way to apply physics through real-world engineering and innovation!
