About the event
Discover the wonderfully complicated world of Rube Goldberg machines! Explore how simple machines, force, motion, gravity, and energy transfer work together to create elaborate chain reactions that accomplish a single simple task. Design, build, test, and improve your own multi-step contraption while applying the engineering design process and creative problem-solving.
Participants will:
Design, build, and refine multi-step engineering contraptions.
Experiment with simple machines, force, motion, gravity, and energy transfer.
Practice the engineering design process through testing, troubleshooting, and iteration.
