About the event
Uniquely adapted STEM classes increasing STEM accessibility for all designed for participants with unique needs or disabilities. Class size will be capped at 8 participants to ensure a small learning environment and individualized attention.
Middle and high school students will dive into the science of animal adaptations and biomimicry through hands-on experiments and design challenges. Participants will study how beaks, wings, shells, and other natural features solve real-world problems, then create and test their own engineering designs inspired by these adaptations.
The class emphasizes experimentation, iteration, and problem-solving in a supportive, accessible environment. Students will make observations, test ideas, and refine designs while exploring STEM concepts like form and function, materials science, and creative engineering solutions—all tailored to diverse learning needs.
