STEM4U K-5 March: Mad Science Lab Jr

Uniquely adapted STEM classes increasing STEM accessibility for all designed for participants with unique needs or disabilities. Class size will be capped at 8 participants to ensure a small learning environment and individualized attention.

In this hands-on and supportive STEM class, students will explore the exciting world of matter and materials at a comfortable, accessible pace. Through interactive, sensory-friendly activities, participants will experiment with solids, liquids, and gases, explore simple chemical and physical changes, and create fun, safe polymers like slime or oobleck. They’ll mix, pour, stretch, and mold materials while observing how textures, shapes, and states of matter transform. The class encourages curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking, with plenty of opportunities for movement, tactile experiences, and visual learning—making STEM engaging and accessible for every student.
